I was born and raised in the Malaysian coastal city of Johor Bahru where I attended primary and high school. I then left for the Malaysian capitol of Kuala Lumpur where I completed a Bachelor of Communication with a minor in International Studies at Monash University. After that, I returned to work as a teacher in Johor Bahru before leaving once again for Sydney, Australia where I completed a Master of Occupational Therapy at The University of Sydney. I then worked for two years as a Paediatric Disability Care Support Worker at St. Anthony’s family care in Croydon, Sydney.
I cared for children aged seven to 18 who had various physical and mental disabilities and brought them out to assimilate with society in various venues including parks, train museums and swimming pools. I also did some work at childcare centres with children aged five and below, some of whom had disabilities such as autism and global developmental delay. I assisted in encouraging them to participate in the daily activities of the various childcare centres.
Fast forward to today and I’m still interested in working with children, especially those who have disabilities. My other interests include fashion, beauty and travel, which this blog will feature from time to time. I’m currently learning to build businesses alongside other female entrepreneurs while I’m back here in Johor Bahru and Singapore. I wish to inspire like minded women to study hard and live life before loving their prince charming.
Modern day princesses like Princess Mary of Denmark, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Masako of Japan attended the top universities, University of Tasmania, St. Andrews and Harvard. Queen Raja Zarith Sofia of my home state of Johor has a degree in Chinese Literature from Oxford. Modern day Princesses study hard, not party hard. If they can do it, so can I. If I can do it, so can you. Recognise your full potential and live life to the fullest!
